Nylagrady Ltd: Bringing Cycling Back to Louth

We're dedicated to making the Táin Trail and County Louth's flat cycling routes accessible, enjoyable, and safe for older riders. Since 2019, we've helped hundreds of seniors rediscover the joy of cycling.

How We Started

From passion to purpose

Nylagrady Ltd didn't begin as a cycling organization. It started with a simple observation: older adults in our community wanted to stay active, but they didn't feel confident on standard cycling routes. The hills were intimidating. The traffic was stressful. And nobody was creating resources specifically for them. So we decided to change that.

2019

The First Routes

We mapped the flattest, most scenic cycling paths across County Louth, focusing on the Táin Trail between Carlingford and Omeath. Our first guide helped 40 seniors discover routes they'd never attempted before.

2021

Growing the Community

We organized our first group rides. It wasn't about speed or distance—it was about building confidence and friendship. By year-end, we'd connected over 150 local riders.

2023

Expanding Resources

Nylagrady Ltd launched comprehensive safety guides, bike selection advice, and nutrition tips tailored specifically for older cyclists. We partnered with local bike shops and health professionals to make cycling more accessible.

2024-Present

Established Leadership

Today, we're recognized across Ireland for championing senior cycling. We've helped over 400 people build cycling routines, improve their fitness, and rediscover outdoor adventure. We're not stopping here.

Our Three Pillars

Everything we do at nylagrady Ltd is built on these core commitments. They guide our route planning, our safety standards, and our community relationships.

Routes That Work

We don't just list cycling paths. We test them personally. We measure inclines, assess road conditions, and identify hazards. Every route in our guides has been ridden and verified by our team.

Safety First, Always

We're obsessed with making cycling safer for older adults. That means traffic awareness training, proper bike setup, visibility gear recommendations, and real-world navigation advice.

Community, Not Competition

We're not about pace or performance metrics. Our group rides celebrate every participant. We've created friendships that extend far beyond cycling—people travel together, share meals, and genuinely enjoy each other's company.

Knowledge You Can Trust

Our advice comes from experience. We've consulted with physiotherapists, bike mechanics, and older cyclists themselves. We don't promote products we haven't tested. We don't make claims we can't back up.

By The Numbers

These aren't just statistics. Each number represents a person who's regained confidence, improved their health, and found joy in cycling again.

Why Older Cyclists Matter

You don't stop cycling because you get older. You get older because you stop moving. We've seen remarkable transformations in our community—people who thought their active days were behind them, rediscovering strength, balance, and independence on two wheels.

The Táin Trail between Carlingford and Omeath is perfect for this. It's flat, scenic, and manageable. It's not about conquering mountains or racing. It's about showing up, pedaling, and feeling alive. nylagrady Ltd exists to make sure every senior in County Louth knows this is possible.

Cycling isn't just exercise for our riders. It's freedom. It's fresh air. It's time with friends. It's proof that you're still capable of adventure. And that changes everything.
